GETTING READY FOR ANY EMERGENCY

State Board of Health, Council of Defense, and Red Cross Guard Against "Flu."

That there might be a working organization in readiness in the event of a more serious outbreak of Influenza, acting under the orders of the State Board of Health, Dr. Geo. S. Smith, County Health Officer, called a conference with the heads of the Council of Defense and the Red Cross, and plans were made, which will no doubt prove of great benefit should the disease become as prevalent here as it is in some sections. A committee was appointed consisting of Dr. Smith, representing the Board of Health; Ray Millman, the Council of Defense; T. B. Moore, Miss Kate Wright, and Frank Summers representing the Red Cross. This committee may list nurses and physicians available, secure Hospital conveniences, and take charge of the situation should conditions become critical.

This is not expected but is a precautionary measure.
